Cypress Ridge Elementary School is gearing up for their annual Celebration of Learning event. Each year, CRES celebrates learning with an open house in May. This year, the Celebration of Learning event is going to be extra special, as CRES is also celebrating the privilege of serving the South Lake community for the last 20 years. This event is going to highlight the past, present and future of Cypress Ridge.
Students from several area schools were invited to participate in a poster design contest for City of Clermont. Out of more than 1000 students, six of the top ten honories were from Cypress Ridge, including the first place winner in the 2nd-3rd grade category.
One of the six CRES Robotics Teams, the R2DTools, attended the Vex IQ World Championship in Louisville, KY, from April 20-23. CRES earned a spot at the world’s largest robotics competition after earning a World qualifying Design Award at the VEX State Competition in February. Click the headline for more details.
Starting May 2, 2016, our new Assistant Principal, Nicole Brouhard will be joining us. Mrs. Brouhard is presently the Instructional Dean at Triangle Elementary School in Mount Dora. She comes to us with Elementary and CRT experience with emphasis in math and science. We will all miss Dave but we welcome Nicole to our CRES family!
