Lake County Virtual School offers access to high quality, technology-based education. Lake County Virtual courses may be used to satisfy graduation requirements, make up credit, or accelerate a program of study.

Students receive individualized instruction utilizing the internet, e-mail, telephone, instant messaging, online collaboration, and face-to-face teacher forums. The online format allows flexibility of time, and location while promoting the skills, attitude and self discipline necessary to succeed in the 21st century.  Lake County Virtual School provides a rigorous curriculum that will prepare every student for college and career.

Handbook
All students and parents of students considering enrolling in Lake County Virtual should read the Lake County Virtual School Curriculum Guide and Handbook that can be accessed here.  Valuable information including enrollment requirements, requirements to remain enrolled, a typical day in virtual school and other vital information is included.  Parents and students will have to attend an orientation meeting along with signing the student/parent acknowledgment form as a requirement of enrollment.

  • 2014 Stakeholder Surveys - Please participate!

    The Lake County School District and all of its schools are engaged in an ongoing continuous improvement process. All stakeholders are included in this process! The district invites all parents, students and staff members (including instructional, classified, professional managerial, administrative and all other staff members) to participate in an online survey now through May 2, 2014, as a part of this continuous improvement process.

  • Registration for students wishing to enroll as a full-time student for the 2014-2015 school year with Lake County Virtual School will begin in April.  All students and parents of students who are new to full-time Lake County Virtual should plan to attend one of our planned orientation sessions.  Part-time students will also be able to gather much needed information at these sessions and are welcome to attend.  Orientation dates are coming soon!  Please check our calendar for time and place.
