Lake County Virtual School
Open to Lake County Students in Public, Private, and Home School Grades K-12
Lake County Virtual School offers access to high quality, technology-based education. Lake County Virtual courses may be used to satisfy graduation requirements, make up credit, or accelerate a program of study.

Students receive individualized instruction utilizing the internet, e-mail, telephone, instant messaging, online collaboration, and face-to-face teacher forums. The online format allows flexibility of time, and location while promoting the skills, attitude and self discipline necessary to succeed in the 21st century.  Lake County Virtual School provides a rigorous curriculum that will prepare every student for college and career.

All students and parents of students considering enrolling in Lake County Virtual should read the Lake County Virtual School Curriculum Guide and Handbook that can be accessed here . Valuable information including enrollment requirements, requirements to remain enrolled, a typical day in virtual school and other vital information is included.  Parents and students will have to attend an orientation meeting along with signing the student/parent acknowledgment form as a requirement of enrollment.


  • Winter EOC Testing

    Winter EOC's (for students completing Segment 2 of courses this term) will start November 28th and run through December 16.  Please check the testing calendar on our LCVS Website.

    Civics EOC - Dec. 2, 8:30am

    PERT Math - Dec. 16, 8:30am

  • SAC Meeting
    Our next SAC meeting will be Thursday, December 1st, at 10:00am!  This will be a "virtual" meeting on Blackboard Collaborate. Please plan on joining us by clicking on the Sac Meeting link under the Popular Links section.

  • Full Time Enrollment
    Registration for students wishing to enroll as full-time students for the Winter/Spring 2017 semester will start in October and will end November 10.  All students and parents of students who are new to full-time Lake County Virtual School must attend one of our orientation sessions.  Part-time students will also be able to gather much needed information at these sessions and are welcome, but not required to attend.  Please check our calendar for times and places and call us at 352-483-4260 to reserve your spot.
