Lake County Schools recognizing that many of our substitutes are actively pursuing a career in teaching or exploring whether they should become a teacher. The path to teaching is different for every person and understanding how to become certified can be confusing. Join us for a three part series of information sessions designed to help you navigate your personal path to teaching. 
PART I:  Get Informed
Learn the different pathways to become a teacher, find out what subjects need the most teacher, and discover what training and support is available for new teachers. Learn how to convert your resume from private sector to education. This session will have speakers from Human Resources, certification and Professional Development. Click here to register.

PART II: Sharpen Your Skills
Full day of training offered in two parts. Classroom Management For Substitutes from 8:30 am - 11:30 am and Effective Practices For Engaging Students from 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm. You must be a Lake County Schools Substitute to attend. Click here for registration details.
