Breakfast is offered to all students beginning at 8:15 daily. Students eat breakfast in their classrooms and are not to go to the school cafeteria. If your child will be eating breakfast at school, please bring your child to school as early as possible. (After 8a.m.) Breakfast will not be served after 8:25a.m.. Students need to have eaten breakfast and have things cleaned up prior to the beginning of class. (8:35a.m.)
Each class has lunch for 30 minutes per day. Class Lunch Schedule (coming soon)
Students may bring lunch from home or purchase a hot lunch from the school cafeteria.
Although students can pay for their Breakfast/Lunch by the day, it is best if meals are paid in advance by the week or month.
Lunch Numbers will be assigned to new students within the first 3 days of attendance at a school site. Students will keep this number until they graduate or move out of the Lake County School district.
School meals can be pre-paid at any time during the school year. The pre-payment will be placed in an account for your child that will track their purchases and pre-payments. Students can access their account by using their lunch number at the register to receive meals. When sending in a payment please be sure you supply the students’ lunch number so the money will go on the correct students account.
Students are to turn in their lunch/breakfast money to their teacher. Teachers then turn in all monies to the Cafeteria manager.

The school cafeteria cannot lend money or give credit to a student for breakfast or lunch, per Lake County School Board policy number 8.411. However any student that is without money may receive a peanut butter jelly sandwich and milk for a limited time (a cheese sandwich will be made available for children with a peanut allergy).
Applications for Free & Reduced meals benefits and a return address envelope are provided in the information packet given to every student at the beginning of each school year. Applications are also available in the school office.
A new application is required each school year for any family requesting assistance. Only one application is needed for all students in a household. All applications must be sent to the Food Service Office to be processed and approved.

Please be sure to notify the school office as well as the Cafeteria Manager of any FOOD ALLERGIES your student has. Any allergies or special needs requiring substitutions to the regular school meal will require a physicians’ statement.
Our school often provides extra Ala Cart items such as ice cream, baked chips and may specialty items. These items range in price from $.25 to $2.00 and are not included in the free & reduced price program. If parents do not wish to allow their child to purchase these items from their meal account they may contact the Cafeteria Manager.
