The Library Media Center opens at 9:00 am and closes at 4:00 p.m. each day. A student may use the library without a pass before or after school. During class time, students must have a library pass from their classroom teacher.
All students will receive library orientation through language arts or reading classes at the beginning of the school year to familiarize them with the media center, its programs, and services. Computers and software are available for students to use throughout the school day in the classrooms, pod areas and media center.
Students may check out 2 books at a time for a period of 2 weeks. Books can be renewed by bringing the book to the Media Center. Fines for overdue books are 5 cents per day per book. Reference books are checked out overnight only and should be returned the next school day. Fines for overdue Reference books are 25 cents per day per book. If a book is lost or damaged, the book price must be paid in full so that we can replace it in our collection. Students cannot check out a book from the Media Center if they have a past-due book or if they have fines of $2.00 or more.
Computers: Media Center computers are intended for online research, online catalog use and class assignments. Students can use the internet only if there is a signed Internet Permission form on file in the Main Office. Students may not log on for another student.
