Lake County Virtual School offers access to high quality, technology-based education. Lake County Virtual courses may be used to satisfy graduation requirements, make up credit, or accelerate a program of study.

Students receive individualized instruction utilizing the internet, e-mail, telephone, instant messaging, online collaboration, and face-to-face teacher forums. The online format allows flexibility of time, and location while promoting the skills, attitude and self discipline necessary to succeed in the 21st century.  Lake County Virtual School provides a rigorous curriculum that will prepare every student for college and career.

Handbook: 
All students and parents of students considering enrolling in Lake County Virtual should read the Lake County Virtual School Curriculum Guide and Handbook that can be accessed here . Valuable information including enrollment requirements, requirements to remain enrolled, a typical day in virtual school and other vital information is included.  Parents and students will have to attend an orientation meeting along with signing the student/parent acknowledgment form as a requirement of enrollment.

  • SAC Meeting
    Our next SAC meeting will be in the fall of the 2016-2017 school year.  This will be a "virtual" meeting on blackboard collaborate. Please plan on joining us.

  • SPAR Reports
    The Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) requires that school districts provide parents with an annual school status report, known as the School Public Accountability Reports (SPARs).  The reports can be accessed by using the link provided above.

  • Full Time Enrollment
    Registration for students wishing to enroll as full-time students for the Fall 2016 semester will start in April and will end July 6.  All students and parents of students who are new to full-time Lake County Virtual School must attend one of our orientation sessions.  Part-time students will also be able to gather much needed information at these sessions and are welcome, but not required to attend.  Please check our calendar for times and places and call us at 352-483-4260 to reserve your spot.
