Lowe’s Home Improvement grant provides whiteboard easels for classroom
The easels will be used to help AP Government students at Lake Minneola High collaborate
Volunteers from Lowe’s Home Improvement stopped by Vincent Montuori’s classroom at Lake Minneola High School this week to assemble a few whiteboard easels.
Eight easels were awarded to Mr. Montuori after he applied for and won a $2,100 Lowe’s Toolbox for Education Grant. The easels will be used to create a better environment for collaboration in his AP Government class.
“Organized into eight groups, students will brainstorm, debate and synthesize information in a series of activities of their own design,’’ Mr. Montuori wrote in the grant application. “To accomplish this, the groups need whiteboards, pads and markers.”
He said the Clermont Lowe’s has been a strong supporter of Lake Minneola High School, working closely with the principal to support school projects on a tight budget.
Thank you, Lowe’s, for supporting our students!
