Lake County Virtual School is inviting homeschool families to informational sessions next month to learn about the benefits of the online school.
“Many families do not realize that students registered as home education do not earn a diploma,” said Mike Elchenko, Principal of Lake County Virtual School. “By joining Lake County Virtual School, students in grades 6-12 have an opportunity to earn a diploma while continuing to be educated at home.”
Lake County Virtual School offers a full range of courses for grades 6-12. The online school currently offers more than 80 courses.
The schedule of informational sessions is:
· Monday, Jan. 7, 2013 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in boardroom at Lake County Schools District Office, 201 W. Burleigh Blvd., Tavares
· Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013 from 9 to 10 a.m. in conference room at Title I Services Department, 755 E. Broome St., Clermont
