South Lake High School to host parent informational night with community support

South Lake High School has joined forces with the local community leaders to educate parents and community with their role in the C² Ready initiative that has been set forth by the School District.

The first community collaboration for the Parent Informational Night is Monday, Jan. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. The location is Hope International Church, 7432 State Road 50, Suite 109, Groveland.

There will be stations set up to inform parents about the wonderful academic opportunities that South Lake High has to offer students. Parents will also be given the opportunity to work with the school personnel on signing up for eSembler and learn about advantages of using this program; the different testing assessments (FCAT 2.0, EOC, GPA, ACT, SAT, etc.) and the requirements students need to meet for graduation. Other services for families of South Lake High School students will also be showcased at this event.

Anyone interested in joining the effort and contributing to the project is encouraged to contact Linda Nichols, Assistant Principal, at 352-394-2100 ext. 5414.
