Students at Seminole Springs Elementary celebrated Literacy Week by writing, illustrating and publishing books which were donated to the Florida Hospital for Children in Orlando.
Many classes conducted research ranging from cheerleading to polar animals to create their books. Other classes wrote fictional adventures to share with other children. Several students were able to personally deliver the books, receive a guided tour of the Walt Disney Pavilion and serenaded visitors entering the hospital with the resident entertainer.
“This was such a wonderful opportunity for our children to not only show off their imagination and creativity but to show compassion for others,” said Barbara Longo, Principal at Seminole Springs Elementary.
