    PARK AND READ

Many Thursdays from 2:45 - 3:30 the Media Center is open for parents and students to read together and take AR tests.
Check the CRES CALENDAR for Park and Read sessions.
Questions? Contact me a day before at
    *(Why not every Thursday?)*
Sometimes the Media Center is used for other school activities
and sometimes Ms. Williams is off campus for technology training.
    PARENTS MAY CHECKOUT BOOKS, TOO
Sign up for your own account!  Parents are allowed to check out up to ten books. Students are not allowed to check out books under their parent account.

    MEDIA IN THE MORNING
The Media Center is a "holding station" in the morning for students in grades 4 and 5.
Several computers are open for AR testing - with permission.
    Thank you for your understanding.
And thank you for the good manners your students bring to school.
    Take a bow, parents!

    VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Our schedule is packed with classes every day, so volunteers are greatly appreciated to assist with reshelving books
We will teach you what you need to know!
We have several dedicated volunteers - many of them grandmothers!
But people do travel and become ill, so...
I need some volunteers who can come in as needed,
especially on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
Please contact me williamsw@lake.k12.fl.us if you are available to help!

    AR TESTS AT CRES
All students in grades 1-5 use AR in their classrooms.
How do you match books at home or the library to our AR tests?

    AR BookFinder
    .
    Try this:
Search by your student's favorite author or subject
limit the search by your student's reading level,
    "get my list"
In the left border click on
    "print search results"
Be sure to "name" the list with your student's name
    and the topic
When you have a beautiful, single spaced, printable list
you have a tool to take to the public library!
HINT: Print separate lists for FICTION and NON-FICTION
because they are shelved separately at the library.
CONGRATULATIONS! Now please teach another parent!
