LEESBURG – Jessica Noblin, a 5th grade teacher at Leesburg Elementary, is the 2024 Lake County Schools Teacher of the Year. Noblin, a Fruitland Park resident, was announced the winner at last night’s Teacher of the Year celebration, hosted by the Education Foundation of Lake County and presented by Jenkins Auto Group, Duke Energy and Ernie Morris Enterprises

2022-2023
CLERMONT – Clermont Elementary School is closing in June and will be converted to the Lincoln Park Education Center, a name that School Board members approved last week in homage to The Lincoln Park School, which educated African American children in Clermont before racial integration.
TAVARES – Lake County Schools will begin accepting applications from Lake County residents for 2023-24 Educational Choice transfers on Tuesday, Feb. 1. The Open Enrollment window will remain open through April 28 for Lake residents. A second 2023-24 window, for all Florida residents, opens in June.
TAVARES – Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs are fast, affordable ways for students to launch their careers. During the month of February, national CTE Month, high schools will raise awareness of the different pathways to successful careers that are available to students.
Lake County Schools is excited to announce that we have contracted with SchenkelShultz Architects to design the replacement campus for Fruitland Park Elementary School, a project funded by the District’s share of the voter-approved one cent infrastructure sales tax.
