Today's Choice for Tomorrow's Future

The role of Lake County's prevention program is to create school communities in which students have a quality of life that reflects a healthy environment in the school setting and that develops supportive communities by connecting parents with students and schools in an effort to reduce drug use and violence. The prevention goal of the Office of Prevention Programs and Alternative Education is to promote a safe environment for optimal academic education by reducing risk-taking behaviors while building protective assets which contribute to the students' resilience.
