Title I is a division under the Chief Academic Officer. The Title I Department provides technical assistance, resources, and program monitoring of Title I SCHOOLS to ensure that all children have an opportunity to obtain a high quality education and to achieve proficiency on high academic standards.
Technical Assistance - The Title I administration and Program Specialists interpret State and federal law and provide guidelines for implementing Title I programs, address specific questions and concerns regarding Title I programs, and provide information and assistance in implementing various requirements and guidelines.
Resources - The department provides school based instructional and parent involvement positions for Title I schools and district level positions in other departments to ensure effective program implementation. Regional planning meetings and professional development in areas related to the implementation of Title I programs are also provided.
Monitoring - The department regularly monitors Title I programs at the school level to ensure compliance with regulations as well as to assure the quality of the program being utilized with at-risk populations.
