Extended Learning Centers (ELC)

The goal of ELC is to provide a safe and affordable before and after school care program, which offers developmentally appropriate activities under the supervision of responsible staff members who are trustworthy, caring and competent to understand and meet the needs of children.
 
ELC is a fee supported program operated by Lake County Schools and it does not discriminate in its enrollment on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, handicap or national origin. All ELC staff members are LCSB employees and are CPR/FA trained. Children in grades KG-5 (KG-8 Lake Pointe) and currently attending a District-Operated School are eligible to attend.
 
ELC is operational throughout the length of the school year. Afternoon snacks and Homework assistance is provided. 
 
Hours and Payment Methods

  • Before school hours are from 7:00 am until the school day begins and after care hours are from the time school ends until 6:00 pm

  • A non-refundable registration fee of $25 must be paid upon entrance to the program. A portion of this fee is used to purchase required insurance for each student. Payment is to be made by a check or money order made payable to Lake County Schools. Payment may also be submitted using the "ELC Registration" option from your MySchoolBucks account.  

  • A separate check or money order made payable to Lake County Schools should accompany the registration form to cover first week’s fees. Tuition fees must be paid by Friday prior to the week that care is needed. Payment may also be submitted using the "Extended Learning Care Program" option from your MySchoolBucks account.

Rates
  • Before and After School Session $62.00 per week
  • After School Session $51.00 per week
  • Before School Session $29.00 per week

During non-school days when ELC is open (teacher workdays), parents wishing to take advantage of full days must pay the before and after school weekly rate for the utilized week.
