    Ashley Nash, Potential Specialist

    Mrs. Ashley Nash was born and raised in Leesburg and moved to Fruitland Park as a teenager. She attended Skeen Elementary, Oak Park Middle, and Leesburg High School. After graduating from LHS she moved to Leesburg to be close to family and attended Lake Sumter State College before enrolling at the University of Central Florida. Mrs. Nash obtained degrees in Business Administration and Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida and then went on to attain her M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University.

    Mrs. Nash began her teaching career at Leesburg Elementary teaching various classes for Exceptional Education students. A primary focus of her time in the classroom was ensuring inclusion of ESE students within the school setting. While at Leesburg Elementary, Mrs. Nash received the Mighty Pen Award in both 2009 and 2010 for excellence in grant writing and for having received the most funding from grants within the district.

    After working with each grade level at the elementary level, Mrs. Nash became the ESE School Specialist at Leesburg Elementary before transferring to Carver Middle School where she has been part of the school’s leadership team for the past four years. She is proud to work in the Leesburg area where she called home for so many years, and looks forward to helping each of Carver’s students recognize their full potential both academically and personally.
