About Sean A. Austin
Mr. Austin has a Bachelor's of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering (BEEE) from the City College of the City University of New York (CCNY). He also has numerous technical, and business certifications, and accreditations, including graduate level work to his credit. He keeps abreast of the latest advances in his fields of interest which include mathematics, alternative energy technologies, electrical power generation, wireless, acoustics, cosmology, and the physical sciences.
He came to LHS last year with 35 years of business and technical acumen gained while employed as an engineer, manager, and consultant in the fields of electrical engineering, wireless telecom, and acoustics. He had the fortune to work at prestigious companies such as Cerami, SM&W, MET Labs, AT&T Wireless, and the telecom law firm BMJ&D where he was Director of Engineering. He formed an independent consultancy in 2000 to leverage his many years of acquired knowledge. His firm provided a diverse group of government and commercial clientele solutions to complex technical and operational problems for a broad array of business, engineering, and technology needs.
Now, as an educator, Mr. Austin leads the LHS Power Academy which teaches students Electricity, Alternative Energy technologies, and related careers. Additionally, he teaches Mathematics, mentors the Robotics Club, and is an assistant Golf coach. Mr. Austin takes pride in preparing LHS students for their future career endeavors by providing them with sound educational and business advice.
