Ms. Carraway

Hi, I'm Ms. Carraway! I am so incredibly excited for my first year at Minneola Charter School. I come from an extensive dance and performance background. I have danced for as long as I can remember and in high school I trained at North Carolina Academy of Dance Arts before pursuing a BFA from East Carolina University in Dance Performance. I have also studied with the Radio City Rockettes, Joffery Ballet, Lou Counte Dance, and at the Bates Dance Festival. After college, I took a chance and left my home in North Carolina to pursue a childhood dream, one that lead me to Orlando, working at Walt Disney World. In 2008 I was hired to be a show and parades performer and since then I have performed in many shows and parades including: Festival of the Lion King, Jungle Book Alive with Magic, Festival of Fantasy Parade, Jedi Training Academy, Main Street Trolley Show, Disney Channel Rocks!, High School Musical 3:Senior Year, Block Party Bash; just to name a few. I have also done filmings for The View, Good Morning America, NBC, ABC, & The Disney Channel.

While living in Orlando I have also performed at Universal Studios as a Beauxbaton in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and been a Pearl Diver at SeaWorld. I have been teaching ballet and coaching competitive dance teams for the last 6 years in the Orlando area, and I have seen first hand the difference dance can make in the lives of children. I have a strong passion for art in the schools, and I am extremely excited to help build the performing arts program here at MCS!

During my time at Disney I met my fiance Karl. He is a performer as well as a Math teacher at Dr. Phillips High School. We get married in November and I will become Mrs. Sundin! We have a kitty named Nala and we love to spend our free time outdoors either kayaking or playing softball and golf!
