• Attendance:
Good attendance is essential for satisfactory progress in school.
A note from home, signed by the parents or a note from the doctor, is required following each absence.  An Absence will not be excused unless a note is received.  Only those reasons listed in the Code of Conduct (pg 1) will be excused otherwise the absence will be unexcused.
Time missed from school will be cumulative.  The amount of time a child comes in late in the morning and leaves early in the afternoon will be tallied and will count against the child's attendance.
Advanced absences for trips or other nonmedical reasons must be preapproved by the administration prior to the trip.    Excessive unexcused absences will be reported to the proper authorities.
Students should not be checked out early unless there is an emergency or medical reason.  Students are expected to attend school for the entire day.  Checking students out early for convenience or to beat the traffic is unfair to the teachers and school staff who are preparing for the busiest time of the day.  Please work with us.

    Tardies:
Classrooms will open for the children at 8:00 a.m.. Students will be marked tardy if they arrive after 8:30.  If a student is tardy, he/she must sign in at the office and be issued a pass to class.  The tardy will be excused for emergencies, appointments and medical reasons.  The child should be brought into the office by the parent.

    Dismissal:
If your child is going home differently from usual for example:  walk instead of riding a bus- a note from the parent must be turned into the office that day.  Please try to let us know of the change by 2:00 pm on regular dismissal days and 1:00 pm on Wednesday.

    Bus Transportation:
Bus transportation is available to most students as long as the child abides by the rules of safety and proper behavior.  Bus transportation may be withdrawn for violation of the rules.  We have bus stop locations, numbers and times in the office.  Please call us if you need more information on bus routes.

    Meals:
Breakfast will be offered to all students beginning at 8:00 a.m. daily.  Students who wish to participate in this optional program should pay in advance by the week or month.
The lunch period is 30 minutes long.  Students may bring lunch from home or purchase a hot lunch.  Lunch should be paid in advance by the day or week.
Breakfast and/ or lunch may not be charged.
Free and Reduced Lunch applications can be picked up in the front office.
You can also log onto www.mylunchmoney.com to add money to your child's lunch account.
If you child has food allergy or special diet needs let the teacher and cafeteria staff know immediately, in writing.
