    Celebratory Best Practice

I try to know my students and understand what motivates and encourages them. High school students are difficult because they are in an awkward stage of their life. Some like to be publically praised while others loath it. Over the school year you learn that every student is different, so each one has their own unique personality. I try to get each student to reach their potential and love the beauty of mathematics. Showing that you care goes a very long way.

    Instructional Best Practice

When students can teach a concept to me and/or a classmate. Also, they can explain how a mathematical concept relates to the real world.
