Mike's Kids  Leesburg High School is the first high school in Lake county with a reading program that has students reading to therapy dogs.

Why read to dogs?Studies have shown that reading to a well behaved dog helps the struggling reader. The dogs are non-judgemental and allow the reader to correct their own mistakes or read at their own pace. By sounding out words on their own the student gains valuable reading time and confidence.
