    Welcome to Future Business Leaders of America
     
     
     
    Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) at Mount Dora High School is a very active and popular club. It is an organization for high school students participating in business and business-related programs. It is an important part of the instructional program in the business classes

    This organization provides students with the opportunity to apply their classroom instruction in business practices and procedures to leadership development activities and competitive event experiences. The purpose of the organization is to provide students with opportunities to develop vocational and career supportive skills and to promote civic and personal responsibility.

     The mission of FBLA is to bring business and education together, preparing and training students for leadership in the business community and to be contributing members of society.

     

     MEETING - Upcoming October Meeting notes - The purpose of this meeting was for FBLA members to review the competition events and the resources available to prepare for competition.  If you were unable to attend the meeting, PLEASE MAKE SURE to see Mrs. Kozlowski to pick up a Competitive Event Preference Form to sign up for your event.  The DEADLINE to sign up for an event is Friday, October 27th, 2017.

     Please note:
     
    Online Events:  If your event is online only, you will be competing in Mrs. K's computer lab and need to see Mrs. K for your specific appointment time.  You must compete on the day designated by Mrs. K
     
    Online and Performance:   Your event includes an online event as well as a Performance component.  This means that you will take the online test and will also go to Lake Sumter to perform. Examples are:  case events, public speaking, job interview, etc.

    Competitive Event Guidelines
    REMEMBER:  In order to attend the field trips you MUST:
    Keep those grades up!  FBLA students must have a 2.0 minimum in every class in order to attend FBLA field trips!
     
    Have your insurance paperwork turned in to the office.
     
    You must not be on the monies owed list.
