I moved to Homestead, Florida as teenager and went to Miami Dade Community College surviving Hurricane Andrew back in 1992. Then, my ultimate accomplishment was to transfer to the University of Central Florida in 1995. I am very proud of my University and continue to support the alumni association. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education K-6 and a Musical Education Certificate for grades K-12. I began teaching 4th grade at Minneola for 5 years and 1 year in first grade before I became a full time music teacher.

I am happily married to Mrs. Jennifer Caponi, who I met at Minneola and have two children, Sofia Vanessa (6) and Christopher Angelo (11). Sofia loves to sing and dance and Christopher is a soccer player for NTC and also is a Webelo Scout for Pack 268.

I play tennis, sing, and shoot a little basketball.
Back when I was in High School, I was in the school chorus and our chorus teacher, John Rose, was an inspiration to my education. For my 4 years in high school, he strived for his students to succeed not only in music, but in life. Our chorus consistently had straight superiors in all levels of state competition. Below is an older image of my High School Chorus. Can you find me?
