    Teacher Biography
    Welcome Hawks!
I graduated from Florida International University with a BA in Environmental Science and a certification in Education before returning to my hometown of Clermont. Once back I taught at East Ridge High school for 3.5 years and Mount Dora Middle School for 1 year before finding myself at Lake Minneola High. During those years I went back to school and recently completed my Masters in Sociology with an Applied Track in Domestic Violence. I am exciting about the upcoming 2015-2016 school year and all of the opportunities that await us!
Lake Minneola High School - Where Learning Has No Limits!!

    Celebratory Best Practice
Every student gets the same level of high expectation from me because every student is capable when effort is put forth. When they reach that expectation, no matter how long it took, CELEBRATION TIME! The class cheers! Claps! Gifts! And phone calls home! The student needs to know with effort comes great reward.

    Instructional Best Practice
The students always compliment me on my simplified powerpoints and lectures. I strive to break down the chapter into its simplest form without losing the essence of the material. This cuts out all the extra information so that every student can understand the core of the content, no matter their level of current knowledge. Science doesn't need to be complicated. It should fascinate, not confuse!!!

     Inspirational Quote
"We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed."
