Diane Reid-Goolsby (Mrs. Goolsby)
Welcome FPE students, parents, community members and stakeholders to the 2017-18 school year. My name is Diane Reid-Goolsby and it is my pleasure to be joining Fruitland Park Elementary School as your new assistant principal.
I have served Lake County Schools’ students for twenty-five years—eleven in elementary and fourteen at the middle school level. I taught third grade at both Eustis Heights Elementary and Triangle Elementary from 1992 – 2003; and then sixth grade at Tavares Middle School from 2003 – 2013. I served as grade level chairperson at both levels. I also taught Kids College during the summers of 1992-1994. In March of 2013, I was appointed as assistant principal at Tavares Middle School where I served three and a half years. I worked at Oak Park Middle School last year, 2016—2017.
I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from National Louis University. Prior to earning my Master’s Degree, I earned my National Board Teacher certification as a Middle Childhood Generalists. I maintain my Gifted and 300 Hour ESOL (English Speakers of Other Languages) Endorsements.
I am very excited to be returning to my elementary roots as I embark upon this journey at Fruitland Park Elementary School. Go Challengers!“Challenge yourself every day to do better and be better.” Robert Tew
