Degrees and Certifications:
Celebratory Best Practice
In the classroom we are ONE Knight, helping each other achieve to our maximum potential. We celebrate high scorers on quizzes and tests to demonstrate the height of our accomplishments, but we also celebrate moments of individual breakthrough that reveal upward academic mobility.
Instructional Best Practice
Effective instruction begins with knowing who you are teaching. Getting to know each student and their unique makeup is necessary to help that student achieve their academic goals. Just as important is helping the student recognize their own strengths and weaknesses so they can make sense of the struggles they will face as they experience new material. With these fundamentals in place, students are encouraged to trust their instincts, always try, learn from their mistakes, and never give up.
"It's fine to celebrate success but it is more important to heed the lessons of failure."
