Clonce, Lidia

Welcome to Mrs. Clonce Algebra class

  • This is my fourth year as a US public school math teacher.  I graduated from Omsk State Pedagogical University with a Master’s Degree in teaching Mathematics, Informatics and Computer Science and minor in Physical Science. I worked as a middle and high school teacher for 16 years in Russia and was recognized as 2009 teacher of the year. In 2011 I moved to Florida where I have been a substitute teacher for 3 years while I completed all the necessary requirements to become a certified teacher in Mathematics 6 – 12.

I feel very blessed to have a job that I love.  I truly enjoy helping my students to grow in their knowledge, understanding, confidence, and enjoyment of mathematics and its many real world applications.  I have found teaching to be both a challenging and rewarding vocation.  Being a teacher also gives me the wonderful opportunity to be a role model and have a positive impact on the lives of my students.

My goal is to have all students recognize their power and use that power to improve themselves and their school. We will work hard to have a positive classroom culture, and to celebrate that culture in many ways.

All CLMS rules will apply in my classroom. Students are asked to:

    • Do their best (which requires believing in yourself, being prepared and always trying as hard as you can)
    • Be respectful, cooperative, positive and responsible.
    • I believe all students have the ability to shape their own lives and society in positive ways.
