I always encourage all of my students to work hard towards our daily objectives and long term goals. Eventually they realize that hard work pays off, and I make it a point to show them that I care about their success.
Instructional Best Practice
Leading by example is to me the best way to show my students that I have high expectations for them. My students witness the hard work I put into my job as a teacher, and know that I expect the same hard work from them. I do everything in my power for them to be successful in my class, but they know that they have to put in the effort. My hope is that at the end of the year, my students have not only learn a good deal of math, but also have developed good studying habits, and learn to take ownership and accountability of their professional future.
"The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall"
