• Discovery Science Center at Cypress Ridge

Cypress Ridge Elementary School commemorated their 20th year of serving the community by opening Lake County’s first Discovery Science Center in August of 2017. The DSC is available for field trips and meetings. One goal  for the future s to open for general admission on designated Saturdays.

This initiative strengthens Cypress Ridge’s commitment toward DREAMS, an expanded STEM curriculum. DREAMS stands for digital readiness, engineering, arts, mathematics and science. There are more than 80 hands on exhibits, displays, and activities in the 2000 square foot building, with additional outdoor activities and a picnic and play area. The DSC also has a STEM classroom which is used for guided lessons.  Focus Guides help to keep learners engaged while they are at the DSC.  Admission is $5.00/ student. Adults are  invited to participate free of charge.
