    Celebratory Best Practice

When a student walks into my classroom, he or she will find someone willing to help them in any way he can. Encouragement is something I believe in strongly. My number one priority is to instill confidence in the student. Every student needs to feel that he or she can accomplish anything as long as they are willing to try.

    Instructional Best Practice

As a student, I related to teachers who were willing to relate to me as a person, not one who was trying to talk above or down to me. As an educator, I try to relate to my students through real world application and I show how any mathematical problem can easily be translated to any given real world scenario. If students can relate to the material, they are more willing to learn.

“The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will.” –Vince Lombardi
