Mrs. Judi George
I am a strong supporter of the culture for equity and access that the College Board is trying to achieve with open access in the Advanced Placement classes. I believe every student has the capability to succeed. I encourage students to explore every opportunity they have an interest in during their high school career. It's OK if some of them don't work as expected. They may never have the exposure to some of these opportunities once they leave high school. If your student has an interest, please encourage them to come have a conversation about the program.
I was born and raised in Ohio. I attended a large urban public high school with nearly 4,000 students. I understand the obstacles of navigating a large campus and can appreciate how this can be intimidating for incoming freshman.
As an adult, I moved to the Carolinas where I lived for nearly 20 years. During my time there I earned my undergraduate and graduate degrees while working full time. I was employed in network support for all technology aspects of the organization. My husband and I made the decision to move to Florida last year to be nearer where family lives. This is how I came into teaching computer science. The 2017-2018 will be my second year with Lake County Schools.
For the 2017-2018 year my planning is 6th period. If you would like to contact me, you may find e-mail will be an easier method. If needed you can reach me on the phone during my planning period. To see the time for 6th period you can check the bell schedules.bell schedules.
