Mr. Scott Ward was appointed as the District's Chief Financial Officer effective May 15, 2018. Mr. Ward has twenty years of governmental accounting experience. He served as the lead senior auditor with the Office of the Auditor General from 1998 to 2004 before moving into school finance as the CFO and then later the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services for the School District of Alachua County. Most recently, Mr. Ward has worked as the Assistant County Manager in Columbia County. Mr. Ward is responsible for safeguarding the District's Financial assets in accordance with Florida Statutes, Florida State Board of Education, administrative rules and District policies.
