To provide quality administrative support and leadership to the offices of Facilities, Food Service, Security Services, Growth Planning, Maintenance and Operations, and Transportation and continuously strive to maintain a safe and efficient learning and working environment for the students and employees of the Lake County School District.
Operations Department Contacts & Areas of ResponsibilityBuilding Code Compliance Office — David Parker, Building Code OfficialResponsibilities include: Plan reviews, permit issuance for all construction and maintenance projects, and inspections to determine compliance with Florida Building Codes, Florida Fire Preventive Codes, State Requirements for Educational Facilities, Florida Statutes, and Florida Administrative Codes pertaining to construction of all LCS educational and ancillary facilities
Responsibilities include: New construction & renovation, facility design, code compliance, school plant survey
Food Service — Linda Milliken, Supervisor
Responsibilities include: Operating district wide breakfast and lunch Food Service operation, collecting and sorting district free and reduced school dataGrowth Planning — Kelly Randall, Coordinator
Responsibilities include: Intergovernmental coordination, school attendance boundaries and demographics and district real estate issues, and F.I.S.H.
Maintenance and Grounds — Calvin Wingo, Maintenance Supervisor & Gary Rogers — Grounds Supervisor
Responsibilities include: Districtwide maintenance of facilities/schools, districtwide capital renewal, Energy Management Program and portables (installation/relocation/removal), grounds support districtwide, and custodial trainingSafety & Security Services — Jimmer Roy, District Safety & Security SpecialistResponsibilities include: Management of security, emergency response, and crisis management systems of the school districtTransportation — Scott Pfender, Director
Responsibilities include: Maintenance of all district vehicles including buses, driver training, driver payroll, school bus routes and transportation administration
