Stephanie Luke, District 5
Stephanie Luke is an Instructor at the University of Central Florida, where she teaches elementary teacher candidates mathematics and science methods courses and coordinates internships in Marion, Alachua and Sumter Counties. She is also serving on the Lake County School Board, representing District 5.
She started her career as a teacher in Lake County in 2000. After completing her Master’s degree in 2006, she moved into the Elementary Mathematics Program Specialist position, where she implemented Curriculum Mapping, Benchmark Testing, Professional Development based on current standards, and established Lake County Schools’ STEM Bowl Competition. During her career as the Elementary Mathematics Program Specialist she participated in several state-level FCAT Committees, such as Standard Setting and Item Review. In 2011, she worked as a Project Manager for the district’s Race to the Top Initiative, helping to establish the newly revised teacher and leader evaluations. Throughout the course of her career, Stephanie has provided professional development in the area of mathematics throughout the southeast United States.
Stephanie received both her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and her Master’s Degree in Science & Mathematics with an emphasis in Technology from the University of Central Florida.
