April is School Library Month

“School Library Month is the celebration of school librarians and their programs. Every April school librarians are encouraged to host activities to help their school and local community celebrate the essential role that strong school library programs play in transforming learning.

The 2018 School Library Month theme is Making Connections at Your School Library. During the month of April, the school librarian in each school will teach students the skills of locating and using information through traditional resources and new technologies, provide literature appreciation activities, and guide and encourage content and recreational reading to every student.”
