School plans 9/11 remembrance program

Eustis Heights Elementary School will host a Patriot Day ceremony at 9 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11, to honor the bravery, courage and humanity shown on Sept. 11, 2001, and the many days that have followed.

The event, held at the school, will include a presentation of colors by the Eustis High School ROTC, patriotic songs by the Eustis Heights Elementary Chorus, poetry and remarks by Lake County Schools Superintendent Susan Moxley, Eustis Mayor Michael Holland, Eustis Fire Chief Michael Swanson and Eustis Police Chief Gary Calhoun.
 
Former and current military and emergency personnel are welcome to attend.
