Holiday festival in park will highlight student art
Students from across Lake County will present live performances and display a variety of original artwork at the 2015 Lake County Schools Fine Arts Festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at Wooton Park in Tavares.
The entire community is invited to attend this free holiday themed event, where visitors can meet our talented students, enjoy great music and skits, participate in fun activities presented by the Early Learning Coalition of Lake County and the Lake County Library System, and celebrate the winners of the art contest, who will be announced at the end. They will join our winners circle with two other students – Jacob Oh of Mount Dora High School and Gabriella Hartley of East Ridge Middle School – who won the district contest to create our primary and secondary art festival logos.
While at the festival, visitors are invited to make a financial donation to our school art programs, which enhance the educational experience for our students, and take home a piece of student artwork to enjoy.
Sponsors for this event, along with the Early Learning Coalition and the Lake County Library System, include Mathias Foodservice Equipment Company; Lake Eustis Museum of Art; 448 Community Club, Inc.; City of Tavares, and Stephanie Walter Promotions, Inc.
