Minneola Elementary Charter wins prize for best float in Clermont holiday parade
Minneola Elementary Charter paraded into the holiday season by participating in the City of Clermont's "Hometown Holiday Parade" on Saturday, Dec. 5, and their float won 2nd place!
More than 40 students, along with administrators, faculty, staff and our proud Mustang mascot participated by singing and waving. Students who are part of the Principal's 200 Club were invited to participate. Students at Minneola receive tickets to acknowledge their positive behavior or activity. They bring their tickets to the office and their name is written on the Principal's 200 board and they become part of the Club! Parade participants were students who received tickets since the beginning of the school year. Those who receive tickets from this point forward will be rewarded with a different activity.
Other Lake County Schools parade winners include Lake Minneola High School and East Ridge Middle School, both of which won first place for Best Band/Marching Group. South Lake High School NJROTC 44 won second place in the same category.
