Executive Chef John Bell, an instructor at Leesburg High School, recently received the American Culinary Federation Cutting Edge Chefs Award for the Southeast Region.
This award is given to chefs who have dedicated their lives to sharing their knowledge and excelling in their craft. It acknowledges Bell’s passion and work as a mentor to young chefs as well as the quality of the culinary programs offered at Leesburg High.
The award was presented earlier this month as chefs, students and foodservice professionals from the American Culinary Federation’s (ACF) Northeast and Southeast regions gathered for professional development and culinary trend seminars at ChefConnect: Atlanta.
“For me, it is to date my greatest achievement as a chef,” Bell said.
