Leesburg High band students rank high at state level

About 40 members of the Leesburg High School Band Program have been in Cape Coral this week at Mariner High School for the state level Solo and Ensemble Music Assessment. The music comes from a lengthy approved list and is rated on a scale from 1 to 7, with levels 5, 6, and 7 literature considered state eligible if a student receives a top score on his or her piece at a district event in February.

 Level 5 music is considered advanced junior/senior music.   Level 6 and 7 literature is college freshman/sophomore level and beyond.
