District to open fourth employee health and wellness center

CareHere and Lake County Schools are proud to announce the opening of our fourth Health and Wellness Center!

The official ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25.

Located at 788 E. Highland Ave. in Clermont Central, the new center joins our others in Eustis, Leesburg and Clermont North in inspiring employees and families to achieve well-being and health through innovative, quality, cost-effective healthcare solutions. The new center will seek to meet the needs of the growing population in south Lake.

The centers are operated by CareHere, a partner with the district since 2011, and are available to Lake County Schools (LCS) employees and their dependents (12 and older) who are covered on a LCS health insurance plan. With no co-pay or deductible, they offer services such as:

  • well woman exams

  • sports physicals

  • acute care visits (ear infections, strep throat, etc.)

  • small biopsies

  • laboratory and x-ray services

  • diabetic testing supplies

  • generic mediations – on-site dispensary with over 200 medications routinely stocked (no narcotics on site)

  • EKG and pulmonary function tests

  • behavioral health and stress management

  • dietitian

  • exercise health coach

  • And much more!

The center will begin scheduling patients for service on Aug. 26.
