Lake County Schools hosts Leadership Lake participants on Education Day

 2 1

Lake Technical College and Lake County Schools hosted the current Leadership Lake County class during the participants’ Education Day this week. They toured the college, learned about its programs and enjoyed lunch prepared by its culinary students. Then, Chief Academic Officer Bill Miller presented highlights about the school district and Carman Cullen-Batt, director of the Educational Foundation of Lake County, discussed the many ways the foundation supports our schools and students.

Founded in 1991 to education, inspire and develop impassioned leaders in the county, Leadership Lake draw participants each year from the diverse and broad cross-section of industries, ages and nationalities that comprise the evolving makeup of Lake county. They participate in nine day-long learning experiences and complete two internships before graduating. After graduation, class members commit to a second year of “giving back” to the community.
