Lake County Virtual School open enrollment: April 10 - July 15
TAVARES – Lake County Schools offers Virtual Instruction
Programs (VIP) that provide eligible students with high quality, full-time or
part-time instruction in grades K-12. We implement curriculum from
DOE approved curriculum providers such as Florida Virtual School, K12 (FUEL),
Edgenuity and Connections.
Open Enrollment period for
full-time VIP students begins Monday, April 10, and continues through July 15
for the 2017-2018 school year. Attending one of our orientations is
required to become a full-time Lake Virtual student. Parents can check
our website at www.lake.k12.fl.us/lcvs for times and dates.
Part-time students can
enroll into Lake Virtual courses with their guidance counselor’s
approval. Home school students need their parent’s approval.
Lake County Virtual offers
rigorous curriculum at all grade levels (K-12). Students must complete
certain assignments each week to stay on pace. Success in the program
requires that a student have daily, dedicated access to a computer, monitor and
the internet and the ability to make and receive phone calls. Families of
full-time students who do not have this technology in the home may be eligible
to receive assistance by applying through the district.
