  • Beta Release of New 2017-18 School and District Report Cards.

    The FLDOE is excited to announce the release of the beta version of Florida’s education reports portal, EduData (http://edudata.fldoe.org), which includes the 2017-18 School and District Report Cards. Redesigned to meet the requirements outlined in the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), the report cards will serve as a valuable resource for understanding important information about Florida’s districts and schools, and we look forward to this opportunity to receive input on their usability.   • Earth Day Event and Poster Contest

    The City of Mount Dora will celebrate EARTH DAY MOUNT DORA on Saturday, April 13th 2019 in partnership with the Mount Dora Friends of the Environment, Inc. and the City of Mount Dora.  This event, on Sat., April 13th will be held in Donnelly Park, please save the date!  CONGRATULATIONS to MDHS student, Paris Chambliss, for winning the poster design contest for this event!

    Attention Parents and Students!!! Registration paperwork for next year was sent home with your child today, March 7th. Please review the teacher recommendations printed on the top of the page and help your student make informed decisions about their elective choices. Directions are printed on the form.     The School Advisory Council meets the 4th Tuesday of each month in the Cane Cafe at 6:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome to attend the SAC meetings.     Set your preferences to determine how often you receive calls from the district or schools Getting information about what’s happening at your student’s school is important. But how you get that information is up to you! The SchoolMessenger system we use to send automated phone messages has been integrated with the Skyward Student Management platform through the Skylert module. Through Skylert, parents and guardians can set their preferences for general communication from Lake County Schools.
