Pine Ridge Elementary Achieves Gold Level Status

Congratulations are once again in order for Pine Ridge Elementary School, as they have been recognized for their excellence in achieving Gold Level Model School Status by Florida’s Positive Behavioral Interventions & Support (FLPBIS) Project. The mission of the Florida PBIS Project, which is funded by the FLDOE Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services, is to increase the capacity of Florida’s school districts in using team‐based planning and problem‐solving to implement positive behavioral interventions and supports within a multi‐tiered system of support (MTSS).

PBIS is proven to reduce disciplinary incidents, increase a school’s sense of safety, and support improved academic outcomes for all students. The designation as a PBIS Gold Level Model School indicates that Pine Ridge Elementary has exemplified improved student outcomes over the last two yearsand has provided evidence of equitable student outcomes according to subgroup behavior data.

Pine Ridge Elementary School staff and students promote important core values of being a Pine Ridge B.E.A.R., to Be Prepared, Eager to Learn, Accept Responsibility, and Respect Others.  Pine Ridge Elementary is the first school in Lake County to receive the honor of this prestigious award.  Way to go Pine Ridge!
