Dedication Ceremony planned for David Lee Diamond at Stuart Cottrell Field

The public is invited to a dedication ceremony for a new scoreboard being named in honor of David Lee, David Lee the longtime Eustis High School baseball coach who died in January. 


The scoreboard will be unveiled with the renaming: David Lee Diamond at Stuart Cottrell Field. 


The ceremony is March 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the Eustis High School basefball field. 


Upon Lee's death, the Daily Commercial reported that he has coached some of the area's top players, including pitcher Brady Singer, who played for Lee as a senior at Eustis. Singer went on to help the University of Florida win the College World Series in 2017 and became the Kansas City Royals' first-round pick in last year's Major League Baseball's draft.
