In an effort to engage our stakeholders in a system of continuous improvement, Lake County Schools is conducting a Parent Survey. The survey is anonymous and we want to hear from you! The survey will be available online from Monday, February 3rd until Friday, February 28th in English, Spanish, Mandarin Chinese and Arabic.

Literacy Week continues and our students showed us that the sky’s the limit when it comes to their future careers! From animal rescue heroes to creative interior designers and stylish boutique owners, these young dreamers are already dressing for success. It’s amazing to see how their passions are shaping their paths. We can’t wait to see where these big ideas take them!

We can’t thank our students and teachers enough for making Student-Teacher Dress Swap Day so memorable! We had a few shy ones who didn’t want their picture taken, but it was such a joy to see everyone embracing the spirit of the day and stepping into new roles with style and enthusiasm. Here’s a peek at the laughter, creativity, and community we shared.
Our PBIS event, BINGO, was a hit! Everyone had a great time enjoying a snack while playing and having the chance to win a prize. Go Gators!
There were laughs galore as we kicked off Literacy Week with various storytelling sessions. What an incredible day we had on campus as we welcomed an amazing storyteller to Gray Middle School! Students gathered around, some even enjoying their lunch while listening to a deliciously funny tall
tale that had everyone laughing out loud!
It was a perfect blend of fun and imagination, and we couldn't be more excited to share these magical moments with our students.
Celebrate Literacy Week is designed to raise awareness about the importance of reading and to inspire our students and families to make reading part of their daily routines.

Interested in a STEM Career? There are 32 DAYS LEFT to apply for Lake-Sumter State College’s Health Science Collegiate Academy. This program is open to all current 8th grade students who will be attending East Ridge High School, Lake Minneola High School, South Lake High School, or Pinecrest Lakes High School. Students must have a 3.0 unweighted high school GPA. Applications are due February 21. For more information and to apply, please visit www.lssc.edu/hsca/.
Lake County schools and offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 20, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. We will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
