This week, we proudly celebrate our amazing school counselors during National School Counseling Week. Mrs. Harlee, Mrs. Leader-Matthew, and Mrs. Fields play such an important role in supporting our students academically, socially, and emotionally. Their care, guidance, and dedication help our students grow in confidence, resilience, and success each day. We are grateful for the impact they make on our school community and the difference they create in the lives of our students. Thank you for all that you do 💙🎉

We wrapped up our Read, White, and Blue Literacy Week with our amazing Hometown Heroes guest readers. It was a special day as our students enjoyed stories and time with members of our community.

The National School Bus Safety Week Poster Contest is now open for submissions! This year's theme is "Safe Rides, Everyday Heroes." We encourage students to think about what safety means to them and how they view bus drivers and community members as everyday heroes who help ensure they get to school safely. Posters should be submitted to the department's School Transportation Management Section by April 17, 2026. As part of our Read, White, & Blue Literacy Week, we’re inviting members of our community to come read to our students on Friday, January 30th! We are looking for Hometown Heroes who would be willing to share a story and inspire our kids.

Many of our students don’t always get to experience opportunities outside of our community, so bringing real-life role models into our classrooms makes a powerful impact.

We’re gearing up for our X-STREAM Night and need your help! If you have any of the items listed below—or can start saving them—it would make a big difference in creating an amazing experience for our students and families. A donation box will be in the front office for drop-offs. Thank you all for supporting this event! 💙

Items needed: boxes, paper towel rolls, toilet paper rolls, neutral flat sheets, pool noodles, wooden trains/tracks, water bottles with lids, donations and partners for round or rectangle hay bales, and/or western decorations

The Fifth Grade Sneaker Ball is this Friday, January 9th from 5:30–7:30. 👟🎉
The cost is $20, due by 3:00 PM on Wednesday, January 7.
