Two senior TV Production students at East Ridge High School won state recognition in the recent 2025 Jim Harbin Student Media competition.
Congratulations to Leo Perez who won 2nd place statewide for his public service announcement (PSA), "See the Person, Not the Label."
Alexa Matus won 3rd place for her PSA, "The World Doesn't Stop for Your Playlist." Congratulations to her as well.
Both PSAs finished in the top three in the district competition earlier in the spring and were advanced to the state competition this fall.
Two additional productions were submitted for judging in the 2025 Florida Scholastic Press Association Fall Digital Contests. All-Florida recognition goes to the top scoring productions in the state earning a minimum of 45 out of 50 possible points by industry professionals judging.
