Lake County Schools has launched "The Current," a quarterly community newsletter designed to share information about student and staff achievements, school events, and district news to a broader audience.
The newsletter largely repackages information that has been shared on the district's social media pages and web sites, and is being emailed to residents across the county, including those who do not have students in Lake's public schools.
"Strong public schools benefit the entire community, not just the families who have children in our classrooms today," said Sherri Owens, the district's communications officer. "Our schools help shape the future workforce, support local economic growth, and reflect the pride of Lake County. This newsletter is a way for every resident to stay informed about the great things happening in our schools and the people who make them possible."
